Imagine your favorite dish from your local Chinese take out place, then upscale it. That's essentially how I see Ginger Bistro. Instead of food made as fast as possible and packed in plastic containers, you get well prepared food, made with quality ingredients, and served beautifully in elegant surroundings. You can still get Gen Tso's, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and egg rolls, but they'll be elegantly plated and served in a manner you'd expect from a high end restaurant. We've eaten here at least half a dozen times now and have yet to be disappointed. If you have the chance to visit in the early afternoon, I highly recommend you try their Dim Sum menu. This was the first place I've tried those little dumplings, and I'm hooked on them now!

Just moved to this area, was hoping to find my “go-to” Chinese place because it’s walking distance from my apartment. I’ve never gotten Chinese food and been upset by a lack of portions. The white rice that we got came about 2/3 full, when I’m used to the container being stuffed full. I mean, it’s white rice…. Next the orange chicken, good flavor, but again the package was 2/3 full, and the chicken was VERY heavily breaded. More than half of the pieces of orange chicken were breading. And the chicken lettuce wraps… don’t ever get them. Terrible, by far the worst I’ve had. Bistro? Come on, you have to be better than that. I only wish we had ate in to be able to send it back. I really hope they get better cooks or change their recipes, something. I would love to love this place. But I don’t know if I even want to try it again. Sad about that.

Waitress was very sweet and attentive but we ordered Szechwan chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was inedible. Very chewy and over fried in old grease. We are even questioning the meat never seen chicken like this. Told the waitress she apologized but did not refund our money. We literally took 2 bites. Place is pricey and food is horrible

The restaurant was very clean and tidy, and the staff very courteous. They offered some great selections in foods. I chose the Birdsnest, which had a beginning layer of chow mein noodles that were topped with shrimp calamari scallops, and fish. Delicious you don’t want to miss this one. their specialty is Mongolian beef spicy or not spicy or not spicy.

My recent dining experience at Ginger Bistro that left me utterly disappointed with the overall dining experience. From the moment we stepped in, it was clear that this was going to be a challenging meal. Let me start by saying that the only positive note from the evening was our server. Despite being inexperienced, Malory showed remarkable composure and was genuinely nice, making it hard not to like her. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the food. To begin with, we ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, and while they tasted alright, the experience was marred by the fact that they came with the wrong type of lettuce (iceberg) . Such a small oversight might seem trivial to some, but it significantly affected the overall enjoyment of the dish. The incorrect lettuce not only altered the texture but also impacted the flavor profile of the dish, leaving us dissatisfied. Next, we decided to indulge in a whole duck, only to be met with sheer disappointment. To our astonishment, the dish arrived with nothing but the carcass. We were charged a hefty sum for what essentially amounted to crispy duck skin with barely any meat. The lack of proper presentation and proportion was shocking and left a bad taste in our mouths, both literally and figuratively. The dumplings, another staple of Chinese cuisine, failed to impress as well. While I wouldn't go as far as to say they were terrible, they were far from extraordinary. The mediocre taste and uninspired presentation only added to the accumulating letdowns of the evening. For the price we paid, one would expect a far superior quality of food. As for the ambiance, I must acknowledge that the place was bustling and our server, amidst the chaos, stayed remarkably composed, showing impressive grace under pressure. However, the lackluster food overshadowed any positive aspects of the restaurant. While it is not in my nature to dismiss a dining establishment without giving it a second chance, I regret to say that I won't be returning to this restaurant. The cumulative disappointment of the subpar food experiences far outweighed any redeeming qualities. The combination of incorrectly served dishes, unimpressive fare.

Not sure where to begin, but suffice to say that the Dim Sum I bought today, (take out) in my opinion was, dry, lacking in flavor, smaller pieces and really didn't taste well. I've had Dim Sum here before, as well as their FM location. I am from SF, I and know Dim Sum. I was happy to find a restaurant near equal to what I grew up with. But, for the p past year, the quality is lacking. And, of late, several items have been removed from the Dim Sum menu, especially the Shrimp/Pork Sui Mai. One may only order pork. Why, I inquired, Hostess (nice person) had no answer. So, comparing to what I've been served in the past four years and recently the past year and what I had today, it is VERY UNLIKELY that I would return as the quality has VERY much decline
